Approved!

Approved! Now the race adventure can really begin.

If you haven't figured it out I'm in the military. With that comes extra paperwork to cover my butt when it comes to participating in "high risk activities". I can't complain too much because the biggest benefit from doing all of the paperwork is now that my request is approved I can race with full coverage health insurance.

With the military paperwork out of the way I have to finish the bike prep. There are two more races at Chuckwalla this calendar year. Unfortunately I can't make either due to work commitments. There is a race in January that I'm hoping to make as I'll be able to take a Friday off to attend the New Racer School which is required to get my CVMA race license. The time will be well spent getting the bike dialed in so that I sail through the tech inspection without any issues. I also have to finish getting all of my race gear. I need new gloves and boots. CVMA hasn't published the dates for the spring races at the time of this post and if they don't line up right I may not be able to race at all this season. If so I will go to a couple of track days to shake down the bike and build my skills for the next race season.

Now where did I put my drill, I have more safety wiring to do…
