Mini Photo Studio

Since I'm out of town to finally take my PE after 8 weeks of study, I've been on the lookout for something related to Motorbikes to occupy my time until test day. Mostly I've just been reminded that Arizona is a no helmet law state. I understand that it gets hot in Arizona. I grew up riding dirt bikes here. I just can't see riding a motorcycle at freeway speeds without a helmet though.

I was out walking around downtown when I found something Motorbike related that I could do to fill my time. I made a photo studio to practice my photography. I found a nice 2nd generation SV650 that made a great model.

A great example of a good condition 2nd generation SV650. I'm thinking of selling the V-Strom to pick up one of these. I want the sportier feel and tune ability that the SV's have in the aftermarket.

I wanted to get the most out of my iPhone for my photography since I don't carry any thing else to shoot my pics. This is a good example of playing with the auto focus settings available in the app.

A good angle here with good composition balance for a beginner with an iPhone.

I played with the lighting to get some interesting effects with the reflection and shadows. I also worked on editing the pic with the native iPhone camera app edit settings. Not bad for not knowing anything about photography, or editing or composition or photography.

And the studio. A coffee table, hotel pillow stack and a pillow case that I ironed for my background. Now I just need to do this for a real bike. Hope you enjoyed the photo shoot!
