Motorbike Easy Listening.

Since it's a Monday and I get most of my podcast updates after the weekend, I thought I'd pass along my playlist of Motorbike related shows for your listening enjoyment. The list took me a while to find. Mainly this is do to the way both iTunes and Stitcher do their search functions. If you search for "motorcycle" in either of these apps, you'll find many of these. Some you have to search by title, hence the time it took. Let's get right to it then.

Two Enthusiasts Podcast: This one has become my recent favorite as it has only been out for a couple of months now. It is produced by the publisher of the Asphalt and Rubber motorcycle blog (an awesome source of motorcycle related content). The two hosts come form the motorcycle industry, but from different directions. Their shows are about an hour and a half and have a very inciteful perspective on various topics related to the overall motorcycle industry including a heavy emphasis on road racing. They present the material in a way that is both intelligent and funny. You can find the show at the Asphalt and Rubber blog and all of the normal social media outlets.

The Paddock Pass Podcast: Also produced by Asphalt and Rubber. This one is focused on road racing and they cover all of the major race series including MotoGP, MotoAmerica, World Superbike and British Superbike. Also around an hour and a half and the hosts all come at the topic from various aspects of racing including one as a track photographer for MotoGP. I like that they cover all the major series so when I don't get a chance to see a race due to the timezone differences I can catch up on the action. The show can also be found at the Asphalt and Rubber blog.

Motorcycles and Misfits: I've been listening to this show for a year now and it is a great everyman's show. The group is headed by a long time motorcycle enthusiast that runs a co-op style motorcycle garage where they teach new riders how to wrench on bikes. They are an eclectic group of people from the Santa Cruz area of California and the group discussions focus on a wide variety of motorcycle topics from the serious to the silly. Because the group varies form two to ten people, there are great discussions every show. They can be found on iTunes and Facebook.

Cleveland Moto: This show is made by an independent bike shop owner and his riding friends. The talk covers all kinds of motorbike content and loads of other stuff that you'd expect to get from a group of motorcycle enthusiasts sitting around the garage drinking after a hard day in the shop. Since they are in Ohio, their topics get a bit weird in the winter because what else are you going to do when the bikes are all hibernating in the garage until the spring thaw. Googling Cleveland Moto gets you the website for the shop and a separate blogsite for the podcast. Take a listen and stop by the shop if you are in the area.

The last podcast for this post is one that is still out there on iTunes, but is not an active show. It is called Intro to Motorcycle Roadracing and the topic is just that. It is hosted by a couple of guys that race club level road races down in Southern Florida. It is a wealth of good information on how to get started in club level racing for people bent that way (like yours truly). I wish it was still around, but when I've listened to all the other shows I subscribe to and want to review the information, I go back to this one.

That is all for now. I have five more shows that I will discuss in a follow on post, but I'm hungry and need to get some dinner after a long days work of teaching. Visit the sites and if you enjoy the shows, give a review on iTunes so that others can find out about them. Be sure to tell them you heard about the show from My Motorbike Obsessions.
